Welcome to the 3-Day Confusion-to-Clarity Online Workshop!
Welcome to a workshop that is designed to help you build more clarity towards your vision, dreams and desires.
I’m super grateful that you have decided to sign up for this experience and we are excited to help you along on your journey.
My mission is to unite rising leaders in hiding from around the world who inspire positive change and personal growth through action and community.
I am building a community of empowered entrepreneurs, thought leaders, and world changers that are out to transform this world into a much better home for all of us.And I know you can do this, all of us can play an important role and also create an incredible life of freedom and purpose at the same time.
A community where we believe that inspiration is a cycle; it’s a cycle of being inspired, then helping to inspire others, and then it’s back to looking for more inspiration. We know that we can accomplish so much more together and that’s why we are here to help you on your journey from confusion to clarity.Over the next 3 days, we are going to give you a few prompts to think about and a short assignment. This workshop will also include a video and a podcast to listen to as additional content to help you gain the clarity you need on your journey.
LET’S GET STARTED
Clarity is defined as the quality or state of being clear, clearness of thought or style. It is my opinion that we need clarity to live a truly fulfilling life, to determine what we can offer to the world, to have meaningful relationships, and to find a lasting and sustainable business or career.
Our goal for today is to start the clarity process by realizing how we became the person we are today. In terms of the mission for our community, to unite rising leaders, we must have clarity in our own lives if we are going to lead others.
We must know the direction we are heading and have absolute certainty that it is the right path, because it is our responsibility as leaders to feel confident we are leading others in the right direction. Clarity takes a while to form. It takes a lot of deep thinking, it takes life experiences, and it takes figuring out what you truly love to do. And without clarity, we can continue to spin our wheels as we try many different things in life.
But the fact is that when we focus our energy in one direction and continue to move forward with a clear vision and intention, magic seems to unfold. We start to gain some momentum, we start to get excited about the progress we are making, and we start to see what is possible for us to create in our lives. But where do we go to start moving forward and creating that momentum? We must know what got us to the place we are today.
HOW DID YOU CREATE THE PERSON YOU ARE TODAY?
To get started and create clarity in our lives, we must know where we came from. We must know what are the life experiences that created the person that is standing right in front of you.
"You can't connect the dots looking forward, you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something: Your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. Because believing that the dots will connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart, even when it leads you off the well worn path." - Steve Jobs
So many incredible decisions have created the person I am today. And some not so great decisions. But each and every one of those decisions I have learned from and grown from. I have also learned from so many people, people that have guided me to where I am today. There are friends that changed the entire direction of my life because of a trip they took me on or a business they created that made me go down a path that I might have not thought of myself.
You can think of these people as your guides, your “Earth Angels” or just the leaders paving the way that helped you get to where you are today. I think we don't often stop to appreciate where we came from and how we got to this point in our lives. I know if it wasn't for pushing myself outside my comfort zone, saying yes, and doing the hard internal work; I wouldn't have the confidence to build the person I am today to help you down this journey to find your own sense of clarity.
ASSIGNMENT 1
So for today’s assignment, in order to gain clarity on where you came from, your goal is to write down the following:
1) 10 or more life experiences (or dots) that have led you to the person you are today. Think about forks in the road you took, new cities you moved to, jobs you had, and relationships you were in. Write down these dots and understand how they helped form the person you are today and give you the wisdom you now hold.
2) Choose 3 positive dots that you wouldn’t change for the world, and describe them in detail. For instance, moving to New York City is a huge one for me, my entire life would be different if it wasn’t for making that decision.
3) Choose 2 or 3 negative dots that caused pain in your life, but you turn that pain into something positive. Maybe it was a relationship that didn’t work out but it taught you a lot. Or maybe it was a job that you hated but gave you a ton of skills.
4) Write down 10 or more people that helped you and led you down the path you’re currently on. 10 people that have helped create the person you are today. Write a sentence or two about what they mean to you, and maybe even send them a message today thanking them for giving you that gift.
5) Think over your day, what are some of the habits (or patterns) that you see. Did you wake up early? Wake up late? Did you go to the gym? Did you enjoy your commute to work? What are the patterns you see showing up in your life and the habits you currently have that are shaping how you show up in the world?
6) Write at least 2-3 paragraphs about today’s assignment and post it on social media, then tag us with the information below! If you are not ready to share this with the world, just start a google doc to keep everything in one place and share it with a close friend.
