Freedom is an Inside Job
Freedom isn't given, it is earned.
It is earned by you putting in the work to change your mental, emotional, physical, and financial state.
It is a state of being, not just of what you have in your life but also how you feel about your life.
"The quality of our lives is determined by the quality of our emotions" - Tony Robbins
So if you desire a level of freedom in your life that you don't currently have, I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this...
But you are going to have to do the work to make it happen. You must work on yourself to create that freedom both externally and internally within yourself.
Freedom is achievable
I could go on about this topic for pages, but it is my belief that freedom is available to all of us.
However, the question is, are we willing to put in the work and be uncomfortable in the short term to create a life full of freedom (and fulfillment) in the long run?
This post is designed to help you understand where to get started. To give you some basic tools and resources to start you down this journey towards freedom.
Freedom takes work. It takes auditing every area of your life and seeing where you feel stuck, then taking actions each and every day to shift that state of being.
I promise it is possible and it is worth it.
1: Discipline
“Discipline equals freedom” - JOCKO WILLINK
Like I said, if you desire freedom, it’s going to take work to get you there.
And if you don’t have discipline in your life to consistently take actions towards your goals, you are going to slip and continue pushing your dreams down the road until eventually they never arrive.
That’s NOT what we want, we want to work towards our goals and feel like we are making progress.
Progress keeps you moving forward. When you have the discipline to consistently take aligned actions and then see the results of your work, it helps you realize that “hey this is working, I’m going to keep this up because I like how this feels.”
2: Emotional Mastery
One of the biggest lessons I have learned along this journey is that I MUST master my emotions if I want to succeed at life.
If you don’t learn to regulate your nervous system, you are going to forever be a victim of your circumstances.
However, when you learn to master your emotions and realize that you have ability to not only influence but actually change your default emotional state, then everything changes.
This is the number one key to freedom, because if you don’t feel free, you aren’t free.
Every day, spend time working on feeling better and then take actions from that space, your life will shift for the better.
3: Community
The people who you surround yourself with are going to influence who you are.
And if you want to be a powerful individual in this world and make a positive impact, you need to surround yourself with other people that are doing that too.
You need to learn from them and grow with them. you need to inspire each other to activate greatness and actually help each other make it happen.
We often think we can do life alone, but we can’t. Even the computer or phone you are reading this on requires other people to make this happen for you.
So embrace community, find people that can help you. then prioritize spending time with them in the right environments.
4: Sales and Influence
“The transformation begins with the transaction.”
This is a quote my friend Karen recently mentioned to me and it is totally true.
People do not commit to something unless they are invested into it. and when people pay for things, they commit to them. This has been one of the hardest lessons for me as I love to help people and often “feel bad” charging them for things.
But in reality, if you don’t charge them, you are doing both a disservice to them as well as yourself.
Commit to learning sales and the power of influence. You are the medicine your audience and clients need, and they need you to sell them on it to make the shift.
5. Personal Branding
People do business with people, and they need to know, like and trust you allow them to believe that you can help them.
People trust people that they see. and when you have a personal brand both online (and offline), you are building more trust in your audience.
“A personal brand is the digitization of your reputation” - Rory Vaden
It is the most powerful tools you can have to influence people to not only trust you but also work with you.
If you desire freedom to help clients, travel the world, and live life on your terms; a personal brand is the key to get you started. A personal brand is your ticket to freedom.
6. Music
Music has been the #1 tool I have used to create my life.
Music helps me shift my emotional state. it helps me think better thoughts. It helps me feel more connected to a higher power, and it guides me in the right direction at exactly the right moment.
Spotify I believe is honestly a gift from god, you have every song you can ever imagine at your finger tips. Leverage music as a way to change your life.

7. Embodiment & Mastery
If you are not doing it and practicing it in your life, you don’t actually know it.
Create practices so you don’t just intellectually “know” something but you embody it.
Practice is key. keep practicing your craft daily. as you practice, you emoby that wisdom within you. Then people pay you not just for the hours of work you put in, but the years you practice you dedicated yourself to.
When you embody your purpose, you will be rewarded with freedom.
